Description

This game is all about HIRING WORKERS! Oh and also about trying to fight the enemies at the same time.. And of course managing your various stats within the game too...
If YOU believe you can do all of that at the same time without it being TOO MUCH for you, well give this game a try. Here you will be attempting to hire workers, fire at enemies, and trying to get the perfect balance between upgrading your stats and your income. Can you hold the enemies long enough til' you have enough money to buy the Lost Soul and give permanent salvation to your Civilization?
(PS: a more in-depth guide can be found inside the game, on the main menu!)

More Information

- This game was originally planned to be made for TriJam #212 (with the theme "Too Much" and a  3h time limit), but I ended up overscoping my game WAY too much. That's why I decided to ditch the competition and instead try to finish & polish the game to be as good as possible. The game itself was developed spanning 3 days, and with a total time of around 15 hours (including making the sprites and art for the game, but NOT including the music as I had already made some before starting the development).

Assets Used

- Music: Made by me (it's goofy I know lol)
- Playlist that's within the settings: Re-used from a project I'm currently working on (Iron Infantry)
- DOTween: On the Unity asset store

Developer's Note: Good luck! (also please comment down below if you feel that the difficulty of the game is all over the place, thanks!)

Cool game! I agree with swoopie. Shop and plaza screens are too big! But what about gameplay - for me it is fun and addictive)

Nice game! It took me forever btw to realize I can click the wooden bars to buy stuff, because I didn't look at the screenshots. Also, you might want to change the UI in a way that the Shop and Worker Plaza don't cover such a big portion of the screen. It's already hard to do 3 things at the same time, I feel obscuring part of the screen makes it unnecessarily harder.

Hello, thank you for the feedback and for trying out the game!

I can definitely see how those big UI elements could have ruined your experience, and I'll consider making them a little bit smaller. If some other users also experience this issue, then that's definitely something I'll swiftly have to fix.
As for the misunderstanding of the wooden buttons' purpose, yeah they could have been explained better. There's a guide within the main menu, but it may not be sufficient enough (or not a lot of people can be bothered to check it out), so a proper tutorial could have definitely been better there.

Again, thanks for the feedback, and it's great to know that you enjoyed the game at least to some degree!

Yeah, it depends a bit on where you want to focus the challenge on for the players. If it's about time management and balancing, then I think the shop and worker plaza should not obstruct the game. If you want the hidden screen be part of the challenge, then it's all fine and adds to the difficulty.

To be fair, I didn't even check the guide indeed, so you could actually state that's my shortcoming ;-)
